The Matilde Special Edition presents a 6 x 50 toro crafted with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a distinctive filler blend combining tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and, notably, Peru—marking the first time Peruvian tobacco is featured in a Matilde blend. Produced at the Tabacalera La Isla factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic, this exclusive release is limited to 5,000 cigars. Enrique Seijas, Matilde Cigar Co.'s founder, honored his father, José Seijas—former manager of the Tabacalera de García factory in Altadis U.S.A.—by incorporating Peruvian leaf, reflecting his father’s appreciation for such cigars.
